What is Biofuel?

Biofuel encompasses a wide variety of fuels, which are derived from biomass in some ways.  The biofuels term covers solid biomass, liquid fuels and various biogases. Africa Green Energy will focus on bioethanol and biodiesel as forms of biofuels.

Africa Green Energy Technologies will utilize 3rd generation technology (gas fermentation) to convert carbon monoxide containing gases produced by industries such as steel manufacturing, oil refining and chemical production, as well as gases generated by gasification of forestry and agricultural residues, municipal waste and coal to energy into valuable fuel (bioethanol and 1,2 butadiene) and chemical products.

Bioethanol can be used as a substitute for fossil fuel based energy (in cars, buses, airplanes etc).
